Exercise. Recreation. Fun. You’re standing on it.

If you can paddle in any way, shape or form, you can SUP. And what you don’t know, we can teach you and/or you’ll learn through trial and success. SUP is that easy to pick up. Whether you want a workout or to just have a leisurely outing, SUP is for you.

You’ve already got what it takes.
For true beginners, the SUP learning curve goes something like this:
Just add equipment.

  • Start by placing your hands shoulder width apart about a foot in front of the center of the board. Then place one knee on the board, followed by the other. Stabilize yourself on all fours.
  • Get up on your knees and find the “sweet spot” of the board (the stable center) and use the paddle to propel the board, alternating strokes on both sides of the board
  • Stand on the board in the sweet spot and paddle away; you’ll have plenty of time to learn and practice fancier paddling techniques as you become more comfortable on the board

What kind of equipment do you need to get started on SUP?

  • A board that provides a nice, stable ride (beginner boards are typically 11 ft long and 30 in. wide)
  • A long paddle made for standup paddleboarding

We want to emphasize how user-friendly our paddleboards are; they’re purposely designed to be stable and allow you to feel comfortable from the start.

We love standup paddleboarding, and we believe you will, too. You just have to step on a board to see how much fun it can be. Visit one of our clinics or we’ll come to you. We’re here to help you have the best experience possible.
